PHASE 1
Selecting Premium Livestock
At Tate Cattle Company, it's our job to provide you with the best product that we possibly can, by doing all the little things along the way to ensure our product really is the best.
To produce quality meats, you must have quality livestock. Tate Cattle Company strives to perfect their herd by introducing only quality, premium hogs and cattle.
All livestock is carefully vetted for specific genetic traits. A lot of time is spent searching nationwide through livestock databases to find and acquire the finest animals to incorporate into the farm.
For example, Tate Cattle Company introduces the superior genetics of incoming livestock to the farm with the anticipation of creating, maintaining, and expanding a bloodline that is proven to continually produce better and healthier hogs with strong elite genetics that results in a more tender, more flavorful pork chop.
PHASE 2
Meticulous Breeding Strategies
Once the worthy specimens are acquired, Tate Cattle Company begins multiplying those genetics on the farm by keeping the females that result from this mating back into the herd to continue breeding those genetics into the bloodline.
The boars that result from that breeding are moved into the pork line. Then, Tate Cattle Company tirelessly searches for the finest boars in the country to breed back to the females in the herd, continuing the cycle.
Thus, creating a family tree for our hogs that is built from the very best genetics in the country.
